I grew up in blue-collar household as my dad started as a roofer himself, his dad an auto mechanic, and I was privileged to learn from many of the best for me. So if you are considering Total Roofing and Construction for you project and /or myself to assist you on this new journey. We look forward to the opportunity to service people that are genuine, honest, and transparent with their issues at hand.
There are too many people that work hard at their craft to not deserve those traits equally in return. For instance, you the property owner are seeking a trusted contractor to fix your issues with the best use of your funds, reserves, or insurance scope. We've all seen the HGTV scenes whether they are curated moments or real-time scenarios - "We have a problem." My goal is to avoid the "unforeseen" findings and/or minimize those challenges.
I was privy to the daily job site flow from raining day Saturday's with "This Old House" to Sunday evening featuring Extreme Makeover( I will say - 7 day complete transformations sounds like an OSHA ticket waiting to happen). These shows planted the seeds of my interest along with my dad handing me a shovel many times.
I've been serving residential homeowners for over 10+ years from minor repair needs to full scale exterior remodel in retail and insurance restoration. I love seeing a complete exterior transformation, but I also enjoy working with clients who chose our company to do a phase renovation as well. I get to know the families we are protecting and enjoy being apart of protecting their biggest investments, all while hearing about their latest journeys. I'm grateful for the trust and opportunity to be their trusted contractor or the person to ask.
Favorite Residential Project to date- Griffith, Indiana a total renovation in 2018. We helped a new couple get the entire roof and siding covered through their insurance, but the best part the homeowners were on their honeymoon during the actual renovation. They came home to a brand new home and I was apart of their 1st big renovation projects. This was my 1st "extreme makeover" without Ty Pennington and before we took video footage ourselves as a company.
I was privileged enough to start my construction journey assisting with commercial projects from site assistance, laboring clean-up, and then assisting the entire pitch to pitch process with flat roofing and multi-family projects. I thoroughly enjoy educating and assisting HOA's/boards on these remodeling projects. God bless all who volunteer to be on your boards and my applauds to you. I still believe the expectations are the same between commercial and residential as you want a properly installed service, but would also like a white-glove, no frail's experience for all vested parties. A big enjoyment that I've later discovered is the number of different personalities and people you meet during these longer projects.
Favorite Commercial Project to Date - A multi year complex roofing project in Palos Heights, Illinois. I was blessed with a great board to work with that understood the unique challenges we were facing in roofing from the ever-changing weather and supply chain challenges (COVID period). This taught me the value of great partnerships and there should be a win, win. goal for both parties. Also, this experience lead to a portapotty getting towed and many other "can't make this up" stories due to a Master HOA president. A tale for another time.
